SCUBA Diving Manuals

Your voyage includes several scuba diving certifications, and PADI (the Professional Association of Diving Instructors) requires that you own the instructional manuals to not only use during the program, but also that you keep for future review. Your voyage choice determined which manuals will be required.

These manuals will be purchased on your behalf and shipped to the islands, so that they are on board the vessel awaiting your arrival.

Many voyages require a several manuals that we have grouped into a discounted 'set.'

PADI Open Water Diver E-Learning Manual (MSRP $195.00)
makes it easy to fit scuba classroom lessons into a busy schedule before your voyage. Learn about scuba diving principles and terminology whenever, wherever it's convenient for you. It's your course on your time. Study offline, or online using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your Odyssey instructor whenever you have a question. eLearning time commitment: 5-10 hours
PADI Open Water certification is completed with your instructor using scuba gear in a pool-like environment until you're comfortable and includes practice "mini dives" to help you build confidence in your new abilities before making four dives in open water.

The Recreational Dive Planner Table (RDP) (MSRP $39.50)
is in feet of water (imperial version or if pre-requested metric) and informs the new diver of safe depth and time limitations for recreational diving. Dive table is made from durable waterproof plastic and has an eyelet for attachment of a lanyard.


PADI Adventures in Diving Manual (MSRP $62.70)
and course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.

Rescue Diver Manual (MSRP $71.90)
and course is the highest non-professional certification in the PADI continuing education programs. The Rescue Diver Course gives you the knowledge to manage diving emergencies in the unlikely event that they were to happen. The Rescue Diver Manual includes a dive management work slate.


EFR Primary and Secondary Care Participant Manual (MSRP $27.10)
Encompasses the Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (first aid) course for the Emergency First Response course. It includes an Independent Study Section, a Skills Workbook, and an Emergency Reference Manual


PADI Freediver Touch™ (MSRP $91.70)
Combines the course manual and video into an interactive learning tool. It also included required Knowledge Reviews and final exams with appropriate remediation. The course content for all three freediver levels. A student who begins a Freediver course can continue to use the product when ready to take the PADI Advanced Freediver course, then also use it for the PADI Master Freediver course.
