This page is not intended to be a daily diary or itinerary.

In the event of an emergency weather situation or some other voyage disruption, please check here first for information on what Odyssey Expeditions knows about the situation and what we are doing to resolve it.

Please do not call the office first as there is only one staff member and one phone line and we can't talk to 13 sets of parents at once (but will try our best).

Day 15

All is well on program. Working on certifications and getting in a few dives. Everyone is doing great
and no problems or incidents to report. They are having a nice day!
Day 14

Halifax Island will be our activity center today. Doing a Deep Dive for Advanced certification, Rescue certification work on the beach, not to mention
fixing meals and enjoying great shipmate company. All is well.
Day 13

Hooray! Amity, our faithful vessel, has left the dock with all shipmates! Group is now
at Dragon Bay for the night. Sloppy Joe's will be great away from the marina. The water
is still too cloudy to swim and dive today, but hopes are great for tomorrow!
Day 12
We are very fortunate that the Hurricane Beryl mooved to the north of Grenada as it passed.
Grenada's sister islands took a very hard hit and will not be open for tourism for a while.
Grenada's Prime Minister put a daily curfew for only necessary buisnesses to operate until morning of July 8th. (or sooner)
We are now back at the Port Louis and our yacht "Amity" and are securly still tied to the dock but with water and A/C aboard.
Our plans for the next couple of days are based on safety.
The seas around the island are currently dangerous to traverse due to debris, logs and every thing blown into them. This will take a few days to either sink or be taken away by the currents.
The water is also dangerous to swim in. Most island homes use a septic system and with the heavy rains the runoff from the islands have a very high level bacteria in the water. This too will subside with time and the currents.
We do plan on getting back on the water and completing the dive training as soon as we can.
Day 10 June 30
We have our yacht "Amity" tucked away in the Port Louis - Moorings Marina. Saint Georges, Grenada
We will mooving this afternoon to Mitchells Guest House to weather the storm.

notes from the kids:
To Wendy: Lil Sawick says hi!!
To Carie: Bunga loves you.
To Rita: Hey how you doing stay safe!
To Jamie: Tobies all good.
To Mimi: Love ya, Im still hungry.
To Kim: I'm safe!
To Wendy and Tony: uuhm hea ha HI.

Day - 9
We have had 9 great and busy days and a nights of diving and sailing.
We have also watched Invest 95 become Tropical Storm Beryl.
The tracking probabitly of T.S. Beryl has possibilties from Tobogo in the south to Martinique in the north.

We are going to do the most conservative option and travel to Port Luis, Grenada.
Port Louis is a base for the Moorings and has been considered a safe and sucure area for yachters.
The weather is currently sunny, with light winds. A pod of whales breaching to our starboard was just seen as we travel south.

More details to follow. Current Location: 13 degrees 3.3660 min North, 61 degrees 18.84 minutes West. Speed 7.5Knots
